Having done his initial medical training across Scotland, Dr Chauhan moved to Tauranga in 2014 and completed his General Practice (GP) training in the Bay of Plenty.

He holds a Master of Medicine (in the field of Skin Cancer) from the University of Queensland. He is an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) and a full member of the New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors (NZCSD)

He is credentialed to do skin cancer surgery for the Western Bay of Plenty Public Health Organization up to the Advanced Plus Level.

He is a Southern Cross affiliated provider and NiB first choice provider.
