Additional surgeries after one main excision will be at 60% of the surgical cost. Surgical cost includes up to 2 follow-up visits with the nurse.

Types Of Skin Cancer

Melanoma

This is the most deadly form of skin cancer. There are several types of melanoma, and their rate of growth and how aggressive they are depends on many different factors. Diagnosed and removed early, melanoma can be cured.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma
(SCC)

The second most common skin cancer we see in New Zealand. There are a few different types and some can spread to other areas of the body, if not treated early by surgical excision.

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)

This is the most common skin cancer we see in New Zealand, also the least dangerous. However, there are several different variations of BCC. Some can be treated by topical means (creams), but most will require surgical removal.
